Maserati has announced the launch of the Italian car-maker’s Fuoriserie program in Australia to coincide with the arrival of the new 2021 Maserati Ghibli Trofeo Corse.
A new personalisation program that matches similar offerings from Porsche, Ferrari and other luxury marques, the Fuoriserie program is designed to tailor new Maserati vehicles in Australia exactly to their owners’ tastes.
Fuoriserie is geared around three collections – Corse, Unica and Futura – and the new Maserati Ghibli Trofeo Corse highlights the first of them.
According to the company, “Corse is based around performance and taps into Maserati’s glorious racing heritage, Unica reinterprets shifting trends in fashion, art and culture, while Futura talks to innovation, technology and new materials”.
Using the biturbo V8-powered, $265,000 (plus on-road costs) Maserati Ghibli Trofeo as its base, the Corse edition adds Officine Aluminium matte paint and Rosso double stripes running the length of the car, “delivering a stunning recreation of yesteryear’s racing livery”.
A similar theme transcends the interior in the form of Alcantara headlining and a steering wheel with matching rosso stripes, together with lashings of the same Officine Aluminium-finished interior trim.
According to Maserati, the Ghibli Corse also comes with a range of factory options as standard, including Bower & Wilkins Surround Sound system, privacy glass, red anodised brake callipers and the full complement of safety and driver assistance systems.
“There is no doubt the Ghibli Corse is a very special Maserati,” said Maserati Australia and New Zealand general manager Grant Barling.
“It showcases what a unique offering the Fuoriserie Program is to our customers. With Ghibli Hybrid, Levante Hybrid and MC20 all set to make their mark in 2021, Ghibli Corse gives a glimpse into what bespoke means in this new era of Maserati.”
This Ghibli Corse is being showcased at exclusive customer launch events throughout Australia.
Being a special-order factory model, Maserati says pricing is only available to prospective customers “on request”.
